Description:
The landscape for industrial and office properties is changing
faster than any time since WW II. The economy is wracked by tariff
rates never experienced, deregulation is rapidly happening, federal
employment has fallen by 9% in 2025 after decades of expansion and
the Fed has continually flip flopped on interest rates strategy.
Meanwhile, AI has transformed demand via data centers and threatens
massive changes in office demand. All this occurs as technology has
changed where we work and shop. This session will explore the key
forces impacting office and industrial space demand. It will also
evaluate whether these factors portend a dramatic restructuring of
how these property sectors operate or whether they are merely the
most recent incremental changes of an ever-evolving operating
scenario.
